Open-ear buds are having a moment and CMF has finally built one. The price is the interesting bit. The availability is the frustrating bit.
CMF, the cheaper sub-brand of Nothing, announced the Clip Pro on 6 August 2026. It is the company's first open-wear pair, meaning they clip onto your ear rather than sealing into it, so you can still hear what is going on around you.
The hardware
Each bud weighs 5.9 grams and uses what CMF calls a three-point clip design, spreading the pressure around the ear instead of concentrating it in one spot. The bridge is flexible, built around a titanium wire core wrapped in a skin-friendly material so it adapts to different ear shapes.
On sound, CMF lists Hi-Res Audio certification and LDAC support, which is unusual at this price and matters if you are on Android and care about a better Bluetooth codec. There is also a Clear Voice chip handling call noise cancellation.
Total battery is quoted at 32.5 hours including the case, and the case itself has a Smart Dial on it. Colours are Dark Grey, Light Grey and Coral.
Price and where you can get it
The Clip Pro goes on sale from 15 August 2026 in the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan, at £79 and US$99. CMF says it expands to Europe and other global markets from 15 September 2026.
Australia is not named in either wave. At the time of writing the US Nothing store was taking pre-orders at US$79, marked down from a US$99 list price, which suggests a launch promotion rather than the standing price.
There is no confirmed Australian price or Australian on-sale date. If you want a pair here, the realistic options are waiting for the September wave to include us or importing, and importing means wearing the currency conversion and no local warranty.
